Hi, I’m Katie!
I'm an occupational therapist, wife, and mom to two energetic little girls. I was born and raised in the Lake Sunapee region and feel incredibly grateful to now be raising my own family here. It is a privilege to serve the children and families in this community, and one I never take for granted.
My occupational therapy career began in pediatrics in 2012 before I joined the Dartmouth Hitchcock Rehabilitation team in 2016, where I spent a decade working with individuals with complex neurological and orthopedic injuries and illnesses. Working across both pediatric and adult rehabilitation has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human body and the importance of meeting each person where they are in their development and growth.
Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: movement has the power to change lives. Whether helping a critically ill patient take their first steps in the intensive care unit or celebrating a child mastering a new skill through play, I've witnessed how meaningful movement builds confidence, fosters independence, and creates new possibilities.
Over time, I found myself drawn back to pediatrics. Becoming a mom gave me a new perspective on the challenges and joys families experience every day, while rediscovering my love of horses reminded me of the incredible impact horses can have on a child's confidence and development. When the opportunity arose to continue Jan Halley's practice, I knew it was time to take the leap and create Living in Motion.
Living in Motion reflects my belief that growth happens through movement, play, connection, and meaningful everyday experiences. The name also holds a special personal meaning: the L and M are a tribute to my two daughters, who remind me every day of the joy, resilience, and wonder of childhood.

Our Story Begins with Jan Halley
Living in Motion Pediatric Therapy began with a unique opportunity made possible by Jan Halley, a therapist who has made a lasting impact on children and families throughout New Hampshire.
For many years, Jan dedicated her career to serving children and families with compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment. Her work touched countless lives, including several children and families who are very important to me, making this opportunity especially meaningful.
As Jan steps into a well-earned retirement, I am honored to welcome many of the families who have trusted her over the years while also building Living in Motion Pediatric Therapy. I hope to honor the relationships, trust, and exceptional care that Jan cultivated throughout her career.
Looking Ahead
While Living in Motion begins with occupational therapy, this is only the first step.
My hope is to thoughtfully grow the practice into a collaborative space where children and families can access a variety of pediatric therapy services under one roof.
